Sealed bids will be received until 12 noon on November 14, 2012, for furnishing the Town of Bristol with the following:

2012 SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT PROJECT

BIDS WILL BE OPENED AT 12 NOON AT THE BRISTOL TOWN HALL, 10 COURT STREET ON NOVEMBER 14, 2012 FOR THE TOWN COUNCIL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 14, 2012.

The project scope of work for this Contract includes site preparation; removing and dis- posing existing concrete and bituminous sidewalks and driveways; removing concrete and granite curbing; sawcutting existing sidewalk, driveway, and roadway areas; trim- ming tree roots; installing new concrete sidewalks and driveway aprons; replacing, set- ting, and transporting concrete and granite curb; reconstructing and installing wheel- chair ramps; loaming and seeding; and incidentals necessary to complete the work to the satisfaction of the Town of Bristol.

Plans and specifications may be obtained and bids MUST be filed at the Office of the Town Clerk, 10 Court Street, Bristol, RI 02809. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly marked on the outside “2012 SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT PRO- JECT, Bid No. 769, November 14, 2012.” Bids will be opened at 12 noon at the Bristol Town Hall, 10 Court Street on November 14, 2012. Successful bidders must furnish a performance bond on 100 percent of the proposed contract within 10 days after the award. The Town reserves all rights to reject any and all bids, or any part thereof, or to go on the open market when is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.

All proposals are subject to the provisions of Chapter 13 of Title 37 of the RI General Laws as amended, including but not limited to those provisions relative to prevailing wages as applicable.

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 o’clock AM on Monday, November 5, 2012 in the Bristol Town Hall Conference Room, 10 Court Street, Bristol, Rhode Island 02809.
