Tiverton, Little Compton schools announce Monday cancellations

TIVERTON, LITTLE COMPTON — School officials in both Tiverton and Little Compton announced on Sunday afternoon that tomorrow, Monday, Oct. 29, there will be no school in either community due to the impending storm. The announcements both school departments made followed consultations with the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency, which advised, officials said, that the storm could pose severe safety concerns. Barrington has also cancelled school Monday, officials there announced Sunday evening.
Parents are advised to tune into local radio and television stations, and school websites, for updates.
The Tiverton School Department will provide further for Tiverton students, as information becomes available, through the Connect-ED parent notification system.
