Tired of the same old route? Give trail running a try

Posted

DARTMOUTH — Have you ever wanted to try trail running but didn’t know how or where to go?  Are you tired of your same old running route?  Do you have a New Year’s resolution that you need to fulfill?

Join Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust at Destruction Brook Woods on Saturday mornings, beginning January 12 at 7 a.m. to give it a try.  A group of trail runners (all levels welcome) will be meeting at the main parking area on Slade’s Corner Road, about one mile west of Russell’s Mills Village.  Destruction Brook Woods offers routes for any skill level.  The group will meet every Saturday for four weeks: join for just one session or do them all!  Experienced runner Brian Tjersland will be leading the way.

There is no charge to join the group, but registration is required, as space is limited.  Call (508) 991-2289, or email info@dnrt.org.  Remember to dress to run, wear layers, and bring your own water.
