Theresa Anne Perry, 78, Bristol

Theresa Anne (Velleca) Perry, 78, of Fox Hill Avenue, passed away on April 14.  She was the wife of Frank Perry Jr.

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late James and Julia (DeFelice) Velleca. She was the mother of Susan Warszawski of Jamestown and Patricia Brunelle of Charlotte NC; grandmother of Julia Konish, Lauren Stevens and Stephanie Konish, and the sister-in-law of Christine Velleca. She was the sister of the late Francis Velleca and James J. Velleca Jr.

Ms. Perry was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School and Katherine Gibbs School and was a clerk at Bristol High School for 23 years before retiring. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella as well as the Nocturnal Adoration Society of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.

Her funeral services were held April 16 from the George Lima Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Henry Zinno at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. The offertory gifts were presented by Julia Konish, Lauren Stevens and Stephanie Konish. Burial will followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were John Warszawski, Kurt Stevens, Christopher Velleca and Chris Harrison.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
