The All-Children's Theater presents 'Treasure Island'

The All-Children's Theater  @ St. Andrew's (ACTSA) presents the ACTSA Ensemble on tour with “Treasure Island,” based on R. L. Stevenson’s classic novel. In this spirited adventure, Young Jim Hawkins takes to the high seas along with Jim, Cap’n Long John Silver and a crew of colorful pirates. Come and join us as we set sail in search of riches! This audience participation play is appropriate for ages 4-12.

WHERE: St. Andrew’s School in the McCulloch Center for the Arts, 63 Federal Rd., Barrington; and Tiverton Four Corners at the Meeting House, 3850 Main Rd., Tiverton.

WHEN: August 6 at 2 p.m. in Barrington; August 8 at 2 p.m. in Tiverton

COST: Free

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
