Stricker and Van Pelt win CVS Caremark Charity Classic again

The PGA pairing of Steve Stricker and Bo Van Pelt shot 20-under par for a low score of 122, to win the CVS Caremark Charity Classic and the $1.5 million purse for the second year in a row on Tuesday afternoon at Rhode Island Country Club. The duo edged out Peter Jacobsen and Jimmy Walker who were hot on their heels at 19-under par. Jacobsen missed a birdie putt on 18, to concede the victory. Jacobsen brought his team even on 17, when he holed a bunker shot for a birdie. But Stricker struck right back with a birdie of his own to take the lead back for his team.

Stricker and Van Pelt won the tournament with a record breaking score of 25-under par, 117, in 2013. Next year they will attempt to three peat.
