Stephen A. Carreiro, 55, Warren

Stephen Arthur Carreiro was born in Warren, RI 55 years ago. He departed his earthly confines and infirmities on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, while in the tender care of those at the hospice facility in Providence, RI.

Stephen was the son of Veronica A. (Carvalho) and the late Gilbert A. Carreiro of Warren. He is survived by his wife, Gail A. Grant Carreiro of West Warwick, and her children and grandchildren. Stephen is also survived by his mother Veronica, as well as a brother, Edmund D. and his wife Nancy Carreiro of Melbourne, Fla.

Stephen was a Warren High School graduate. He was employed at Fisher Controls in Stonington, Ct., making valves for the nuclear industry. He helped make valves for the oil industry at Neles Jamesbury in Houston, Texas. His easy-going nature will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service to celebrate Stephen's life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov 24, in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave., Warren.
