NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an application has been made for license under the provisions of Chapter 8, Article VIII of the Revised Ordinances of the City of East Providence, 1987, entitled “Junk and Secondhand Merchandise Dealers,” as amended, viz:

LOCATION: 329 WARREN AVENUE EAST PROVIDENCE, RI 02914

Said application has been referred to a meeting of the City Council on OCTOBER 16, 2012 at 7:30 o’clock PM in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 145 Taunton Avenue, East Providence, Rhode Island, for hearing thereon, at which time and place all remonstrants may make their objections.

Individuals requesting interpreter servic- es for the hearing impaired or needing other special services, must call 435- 7500 or 431-1633 (v/tdd) forty-eight (48) hours on advance of the meeting date.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
