State enacts adverse weather policy

The State of Rhode Island government is enacting its adverse weather policy starting Friday, Jan. 3 for shifts beginning between 6:52 a.m. and ending at noon.

In the event employees are unable to report for work on a regular scheduled workday, or are unable to complete their work schedule because of adverse weather conditions, with approval from their supervisor, they will be granted permission to discharge annual leave, personal leave, or leave without pay at the employee’s option.

The State of Rhode Island will remain in full operation  during the snowstorm occurring on Friday, Jan. 3.
