State crews clearing manholes, creating back-up

Posted

Traffic on Hope Street is more congested this morning, as state highways crews, with a State Police escort, are clearing away snow from manhole covers.

At 8:30 a.m., police were blocking off sections of Hope Street while heavy equipment crawled through the downtown area. Police diverted traffic to Wood Street and Thames Street.

The crews will continue to make their way north. Delays can be expected.
