Start the school year off with a clean slate

Posted

Love it or dread it, there’s no better way to start off a new school year than with the annual Blessing of the Backpacks! On August 25 at 7 p.m., join Rev. David Lucey at St. Michael’s Church for an event that is sure to get the school year off on the right note.

It's open to children from Pre-K to college, so bring your child, grandchild or a neighbor’s child—and their backpack—for a special blessing, an ice cream treat and a small gift.

WHERE: St. Michael's Church, 399 Hope St., Bristol

WHEN: 7 p.m.; August 25
