Solarize campaign has signed 20 new contracts in town

On Saturday, March 24 from 10 a.m. to noon, the Solarize Barrington program will host a self-guided tour of three Barrington homes that have solar panels.

The Solarize Barrington team will have a tent in front of Tiffany’s Salon & Spa located at 21 West St. where participants can pick up tour maps and info sheets from 9:45 to 11:30 a.m.

Representatives from the Energy Committee and SmartPower will be on hand to answer questions and to provide details about the program's discounts and incentives.

The featured homes are all located within 1.5 miles from Tiffany’s. Participating homeowners and technical experts will be present at each site to discuss current incentive programs, equipment options and to address financing questions. The event is free and open to the public.

The Town of Barrington launched Solarize Barrington in October. More than 130 homeowners have installed solar since 2014 and the current Solarize campaign has signed 20 new contracts for solar. The program deadline for signing a contract is April 27.
