Seekonk Walmart employees celebrate early Thanksgiving with East Providence seniors

EAST PROVIDENCE — Several employees of the Walmart Department Store in nearby Seekonk traveled to East Providence’s Senior Center Friday, Nov. 21, to provide a number of local residents with an early Thanksgiving meal.

The employees acted as servers for the event, which was part of Walmart’s annual program of outreach during the holiday season.

In addition to the festive fare, Walmart also donated $1,000 to the Senior Center. Seekonk store manager Scott Kerrigan presented East Providence Senior Center Director Rob Rock with the donation.

Among the Walmart employees to participate in the event were Stephen Constantino, Jesse Desrochers, Amber Smith, Joel Desrochers, Ethel Wescott and Sandy Phillips.
