Runaway gets lost in Barrington, calls for help

Posted

A 12 year-old boy from East Providence had second thoughts about running away from home last week — he got as far as Barrington, but when it started to get dark he stopped at a Bernard Avenue resident’s house and asked for help.

The East Providence boy reportedly asked the Bernard Avenue resident to call 911 because he was lost and wanted to go home.

The local resident obliged and called the police, who in turn contacted the boy’s mother who drove to Bernard Avenue to pick up her son.
