Rosina (Rebecchi) "Rose" Ferrara, 82, passed peacefully on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.  A daughter of Nicholas and Josephine Rebecchi, she was born in a house her father built on Ellis Avenue in Warren.

She was the beloved mother of Rose Rocha and John, Anthony and Rebecca Ferrara; the loving grandmother to Walter, Fatima and Raymond Rocha, Eric, Alyssa, Logan Rose and Theadora Ferrara; and great-grandmother to Eric Jr.  She also leaves Florinda Kosior and was the sister of the late John “The Barber” Saverio and Nicholas and Bernardo Rebecchi.

Rose retired in 1996 after 22 years of dedicated service at the Miriam Hospital, where she was a Unit Secretary and EKG technician.  She had a deep love of animals, cooking, baking and sewing.  She made beautiful afghans.  A phenomenal ballroom dancer, who could Rock-N-Roll.  She gave of herself without hesitation.  She dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren.  She never complained, even when she battled breast cancer in 1975.

Everything about this wonderful woman will be sadly missed and cherished forever by her family and all who knew her.  Rose truly was a gift from God, and we are blessed that she was given to us.  We will hold her dearly in our hearts.

A memorial service was held on Monday, March 11 with burial following in St. Alexander Cemetery, Warren.  Visit www.Wilbur-Romano.com
