Robert Fleury - Jennifer Amaral, East Providence

Jennifer Amaral and Robert Fleury of Riverside were united in marriage on Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Saint Elizabeth Church in  Bristol. The Rev. Scott Pontes officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony. A reception followed at Hillside Country Club in Rehoboth, Mass. The bride is the daughter of Gil and Marie Amaral of Bristol. The bridegroom is the son of Robert Fleury and Liane Fleury of West  Warwick.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white satin  ballgown embroidered with beadwork and Swarovski crystals. She carried a bouquet of roses, peonies and orchids. Kristine Amaral, sister of the bride was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Melissa Amaral, Ashly Andrews and Michela Fleury, sister of the bridegroom. Mariah Fleury, daughter of the bridegroom, was the flower girl. Adam Paquin served as best man. Kyle Harrigan and Derrick Martin were groomsmen. Tyler Paquin was the ringbearer.
The bride is a graduate of Mt. Hope High School, Rhode Island College and the University of Rhode Island. She is an accountant at Viessmann Manufacturing. The bridegroom is a graduate of West Warwick High School. He is a teller at Sovereign Bank. The couple honeymooned in the Cayman Islands and live in Riverside.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
