Renewable Energy Siting Public Meeting

Posted

The Office of Energy Resources (OER) and Division of Statewide Planning are developing model solar siting guidelines to assist municipalities as they plan for the responsible growth of solar projects in Rhode Island.

Please join us on Sept. 24, at the Burnside Memorial Building, 400 Hope Street, from 6:30-8 p.m. for a public meeting which will present solar information and the first draft of Solar Policy Information for municipalities. This meeting will also provide other educational information on several state renewable energy programs. Attendees will have the opportunity to offer their input on solar siting in their community.

For more information about this event, please contact Chris Kearns, Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources, at Christopher.Kearns@energy.ri.gov. To learn about the model solar ordinance development, visit http://www.energy.ri.gov/renewable-energy/solar/.
