Red Molly plays in Portsmouth

Posted

PORTSMOUTH — Common Fence Music kicks off its 20th anniversary season Saturday with Red Molly, a folk trio consisting of Laurie MacAllister, Abbie Gardner and Molly Venter. Their music is defined by three-part harmonies, signature dobro licks and inventive arrangements and has garnered growing critical acclaim since the inception of the band. Funding for the Common Fence Music program is provided in part by a grant from the R.I. State Council on the Arts, an appropriation by the General Assembly, a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and private donations. For a fee of $55 you will receive three free tickets as well as the opportunity to purchase other advance tickets at face value. Visit www.commonfencemusic.org for a complete rundown of this year’s schedule, which includes five performances at Channing Church in Newport. Don’t forget your picnic basket.
