PUBLIC HEARING 2011 – 2012 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM EVALUATION OF PROGRAM PERFORMANCE

The City of East Providence received a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) of $748,762 to fund programming from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. An Annual Evaluation Report for this period is now available for public review at the Community Development Division at City Hall.

CDBG funded programming included Housing Development & Improvement, Economic Development, Public/Social Services, Infrastructure Improvements, and Public Facilities Improvements.

As part of the process of evaluating the degree to which this programming had an impact in our community of East Providence, we invite you to a Public Hearing to voice your ideas and opinions regarding past and future programming. Interpreter services will be available in Portuguese and English. Please call 435-7536 no later than 48 hours before the meeting for additional interpretation, hearing, or access needs. We hope you will attend.

Written comments may be sent to the Community Development Office, City Hall, 145 Taunton Avenue, East Providence, R.I. 02914. All comments received by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 15, 2012 will be included in the 2011 – 2012 CDBG Evaluation Report to be submitted to the federal U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
