Power outages persist in Barrington


A pitch black Lamson Road exploded in light at about 6:15 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The Lamson Road neighborhood, which was one of the areas still without electricity following the arrival of Hurricane Sandy on Monday morning, was almost fully restored.

One home near the bend on Lamson remained without electricity, likely the result of an individual power line  problem.

A short walk away, on Evergreen Street. the humm of generators continued to fill the air.

Lingering power outages around town were still

According to National Grid’s power outage map, pockets of homes around town with still without power just after 10 a.m. Wednesday.  The outages were reportedly scattered around town including houses near or on Sowams Road, Rumstick Road, Nayatt Road, Massasoit Avenue, New Meadow Road and Lincoln Avenue.

Portions of West Barrington were also reportedly without power.
