Portuguese traditions alive in Bristol

Traditional portuguese music filled the air this Saturday as the "Bodo de Leite" Procession made its way down State Street towards St. Elizabeth's Church. Blessed sweet bread and milk were passed out to residents who came out to watch the procession.

From 7:00-11:00 PM there will be food, music and auctions held on the church grounds. On Sunday, June 8th at 9:00 AM the Holy Ghost Procession will begin from the corner of Bay View and Buttonwood making their way down Bay View towards St. Elizabeth's Church for a feast mass at 10:30 AM. Traditional Holy Ghost soup will be served following the mass. The festivities will resume at 4:00pm until 10:00 PM.
