Portsmouth waterfront home fetches $3.8 million

PORTSMOUTH — A custom waterfront estate at 208 Fischer Circle has sold for $3.8 million, which is said to be the highest home sale in Portsmouth this year.

Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty announced the sale Friday.

The home, more than 9,000 square feet in size, sits on 1.6 acres along the Sakonnet passage near Sandy Point. With state-of-the-art architecture and engineering, the house includes a home theater, two kitchens, office and elevator. The landscaped grounds offer a pool, spa, tennis court and private beach.

David Huberman, of Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty represented the buyers. Mott & Chace Sotheby’s represented the sellers. “This transaction represents another example of the continuing strength of Rhode Island’s waterfront real estate market,” said Paul A. Leys, co-owner of Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty.
