Portsmouth water tax bills in the mail

PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth Water and Fire District will mail annual water district property bills on Friday, Oct. 19.

Philip T. Driscoll, chairman of the administrative board, said that the rate is 18 cents per thousand dollars of assessed value, unchanged from last year.

Taxes are due on December 1. Interest of 1 percent per month will be applied to the unpaid balance. Any district property owner who has not received a water district tax bill by mid-November should call the office at 683-2090.
