Police charged a 14-year-old Barrington boy with cyberstalking-first offense on Wednesday, Feb. 14.

An official at Barrington Middle School contacted police after it was discovered a male student had been sending harassing and vulgar text messages to a female student. He had also made a video in which he was encouraging other students to harass the girl. 

School officials were notified of the alleged harassment, and they contacted Barrington police regarding the situation. Police later charged the boy.
