Emergency crews from Portsmouth as well as passing boaters sped to the scene of a burning powerboat off the eastern end of Hog Island Thursday afternoon around 3:20 p.m.
The boat was fully engulfed in flames, but according to witnesses, it appears that everyone was off the boat safely.
A Bristol rescue boat brought the passengers to the Church Street dock in that town, and the Bristol Harbormaster's office confirmed that no one was injured.
