Peace Fest RI this Saturday

Posted

Each year on September 21 the nations of the world come together to celebrate the United Nations International Day of Peace. Since 2004, the Peace Flag Project — a Rhode Island-based non-profit organization dedicated to promoting peace — has taken that global initiative and made it local by hosting the annual “Peace Fest Rhode Island” celebration. This year, Peace Fest RI will be observed on Saturday, September 23 from 1 to 4 p.m at Burnside Park in Downtown Providence. The event is free and open to the public. For a complete schedule and times visit thepeaceflagproject.org.
