Paul J. Palumbo, 90, of Warren, died Thursday, March 15, 2018. He was the husband of Dorothy (Sylvia) Palumbo; they were married for more than 70 years.
Paul was born in Barrington, a son of the late Carlo and Louise( Lombardi) Palumbo. He was a truck driver for 30 years before retiring from Johnson Motor Lines in 1981.
Mr. Palumbo had been a Warren resident since 1947, coming from Barrington. He was a parishioner of St. Alexander Church and a member of the Teamsters Local 251, Retiree Chapter.
Mr. Palumbo enjoyed playing golf and was a caddy at the Rhode Island Country Club in his
youth. He liked spending time in Florida, and he really loved listening to Frank Sinatra music. Mr. Palumbo also liked the New England Patriots.
Besides his wife, he leaves his sons, Paul and William Palumbo, both of
Warren. He was the grandfather of five, and great-grandfather of four.
Paul was the brother of the late Carl Palumbo.
His funeral will be held at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 20 from Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Alexander Church, 221 Main St., Warren. Burial will follow in St. Alexander Cemetery, Greenlawn Avenue, Warren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.
