Paul F. Schwab, 77, formerly of Newport, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at the Warren Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, after a short illness.

Born April 7, 1935 in Providence, he was the son of the late Christopher F. and Beatrice (Payette) Schwab. He was the former owner of Pleasant View Nursing Home in Warren and Holy Mackerel and Tivoli Garden restaurants in Newport.

He leaves his brother John (Jack) Schwab and sister-in-law Ruth, nephews Paul and Christopher (wife Jen), nieces Tammy and Kristin (husband Wayne), and two great-nephews, Aidan and Brett.

Burial will be private.
