Patricia A. Weeks, 65, Westport

Patricia A. (Borgess) Weeks, 65, of Westport died Monday, March 3, 2014, at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth.  She was the wife of Richard A. Weeks; they were married for 40 years.

Born in Brookline, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Borgess and the late Sara Gard.

She was a graduate of New Bedford High School. Mrs. Weeks was a claims auditor for UPS for 31 years and had previously worked at the former Merchants National Bank where she met her husband.  She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be Thursday, March 6, at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport at 10 a.m.

Calling hours are Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.

Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, New Bedford.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
