The Parenting Support Group will meet on Sunday evening March 16 at 6:00 PM in the Tildsley Building at St. Michael's Church, 399 Hope Street, Bristol.  This is an opportunity for parents of preschool and school age children to discuss the challenges they encounter in raising children today.  The group is facilitated by a mental health professional and all conversation is treated as confidential.  All parents are welcome--single and partnered, traditional and non-traditional and parents in blended families.  Topics are suggested by the participants and in the past have included building self-reliance in children, oppositional behavior, special needs, and communication with another parent or caregiver.  There is no charge for the group but participants are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation or personal hygiene item for the Bristol Good Neighbors pantry.  Childcare is available, but parents planning to bring children must call Jennifer DeWolf at 401 935-3359 by Friday March 14 to let her know how many children will be coming and their ages.
