Open Days Program Garden Tour - Hopkinton/Stonington

Posted by gardencon

Explore three private gardens in Stonington, CT and Hopkinton, RI, open for self-guided tours to benefit the Garden Conservancy. Highlights include a collection of gardens connected by winding pathways that artfully combine majestically mature trees, water features, and stone walls; a working farm and CSA on a historic property with ornamental gardens, rose arbors, and nineteenth century greenhouses; and a one-and-one-half-acre garden with tightly controlled hedges, Belgian fences, espaliers, topiary, and a hoard of container plantings. Begin at Garden of Louis Raymond & Richard Ericson, or see website for additional locations; hours vary. No reservations required; rain or shine. Admission is $7 per garden; children 12 & under free. For More Information: See www.opendaysprogram.org or call The Garden Conservancy toll-free weekdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST, 1-888-842-2442.
