Explore three private gardens in Stonington, CT and Hopkinton, RI, open for self-guided tours to benefit the Garden Conservancy. Highlights include a collection of gardens connected by winding pathways that artfully combine majestically mature trees, water features, and stone walls; a working farm and CSA on a historic property with ornamental gardens, rose arbors, and nineteenth century greenhouses; and a one-and-one-half-acre garden with tightly controlled hedges, Belgian fences, espaliers, topiary, and a hoard of container plantings.
