Only a few individual homes in East Providence remain without power

EAST PROVIDENCE — As of about 9 a.m. Monday, only a small handful of homes remained without power due to Winter Storm Nemo according to National Grid.

Grid listed 17 houses still lacking electricity. The target time to return power to these residences is just prior to midnight tonight.

"The problem now is that they have small areas or individual homes that need to be brought up one-by-one. The end of these operations is always slower for this reason," said East Providence Emergency Management Agency Director Wayne Barnes, who has been in constant contact with National Grid throughout the storm.

Those still in need of assistance from National Grid should call 1-800-322-3223.
