Norman Fournier, of East Providence


Norman Fournier, 86, of Elson Drive, Riverside, died peacefully on Sept. 14, 2012.  He was the beloved husband of Constance (Houlton) Fournier.

Mr. Fournier was a firefighter for the East Providence Fire Department for 32 years before retiring in 1985.

Besides his wife of 57 years, he is survived by four sons; Peter N. Fournier and his wife Hilary of Riverside, James N. Fournier and his wife Paula of East Providence, David A. Fournier and his wife Michele of Canterbury, Conn., and Timothy A. Fournier and his wife Diana of Pawtucket, a daughter; Christine E. Crosslin of Riverside, a brother; Louis A. Fournier of Saunderstown, a sister; Jacqueline L. Lefebvre of Lincoln, nine grandchildren and one great grandson.  He was the brother of the late Harvey W. Fournier.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday Sept.  18, from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside. Burial will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. To leave condolences visit
