Nancy A. Wheelock, 65, Tiverton


Nancy A. (Ferris) Wheelock, 65, of Beardsworth Road, Tiverton, wife of the late Wesley B. Wheelock II, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012.

A graduate of SE Mass Technological Institute, now UMass Dartmouth, she was formerly employed by the state of Rhode Island as a social worker. She enjoyed needlepoint and crewel embroidery.

She leaves two sons, Wesley B. Wheelock III of Tiverton and Sean M. Wheelock and his fiancée Shanna of Fort Collins, Col.; a nephew, Christopher Cotter of Ohio; her father-in-law, Wesley B. Wheelock Sr.; caregiver Carol M. Vadeboncoeur; and beloved companion, Robert Simard, all of Tiverton. She was the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary Isabel (King) Ferris and the sister of the late Cynthia Cotter Sappington.

Her funeral was held Monday, Oct. 1, from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral Mass in Holy Ghost Church. Burial was in Pocasset Hill Cemetery.
