Mt. Hope girls among top cheerers in the state

The Mt Hope High School Competition Cheerleading Team earned their best finish ever at the RIIL State Cheerleading Championships held on Saturday March 9, 2013.

The team finished second in the Medium Division (the power division) and third overall in the state.

The competition was held at the Providence Career and Technical Academy where teams from high schools around the state took part.

“The most rewarding part of the day for the coaches was that Mt. Hope is known for being great sports, cheerleaders and fans for many other teams,” said coach Deb Marshall. “The Mt. Hope cheerleaders represented their school and communities with pride, respect and dignity. Coach Kristin Carbone and I were extremely proud.”
