PORTSMOUTH — Visiting Moses Brown scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to soundly defeat the Portsmouth Patriots varsity football team Friday night, 41-10, in a Division I-B matchup.

The Patriots kept things close at halftime, trailing the Quakers by only 3 points thanks to a 74-yard touchdown pass from Dan McKinnon to Brian Hamilton, and a 34-yard field goal by David Silvia.

Moses Brown held Portsmouth scoreless in the second half, however, putting up 28 points in the process.

The Quakers’ defense came up with three interceptions, one of them returned 19 yards for a touchdown by Jack Moran. The visitors also recorded seven sacks.

Next up for the Patriots is a road game against South Kingstown at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26.
