Former town planner replaces Jan Reitsma

Kate Michaud has been named Warren’s newest town manager, moving up to the position from her former role as Warren Town Planner and, more recently, Interim Town Manager.

Ms. Michaud was named the full-time town manager Tuesday night by the Warren Town Council. Council president Joseph DePasquale said councilors signed her to a three-year contract with a six-month probationary period. She will be paid $87,542 per year, the amount budgeted for the 2017-18 municipal year.

Ms. Michaud, a planning professional who had formerly served as planner in Tiverton, had been serving as interim manager since soon after the departure of former manager Jan Reitsma in December 2017.
