Meeting on bridge tolls in Portsmouth Wednesday

PORTSMOUTH — Portsmouth Concerned Citizens (PCC) is holding an open meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 5, about the Sakonnet River Bridge toll issue.

The group has asked Rep. Jay Edwards to attend to give an update on the Special Legislative Commission to Study the Funding of East Bay Bridges. Mr. Edwards is a member of the panel, which is studying alternative funding sources to maintain the state’s bridges.

Everyone is invited to the meeting, which starts at 7 p.m. at Scampi, 657 Park Ave.
