Meeting date has changed to select interim East Providence City Manager

EAST PROVIDENCE - The meeting date and time for the City Council to select an interim City Manager for East Providence has been changed to Thursday night, Nov. 14, in the City Hall Chamber at 7:30.

The original date of the forum was supposed to be Friday, Nov. 15, at 4 p.m.

The agenda for the meeting, however, remains the same. The Council will interview the four candidates proposed to fill the vacancy left by the firing of former City Manager Peter Graczykowski on Nov. 5.

Thursday, current City Finance Director Malcolm Moore, current Municipal Finance Advisor Paul Luba, former East Providence City Manager Paul Lemont and former Westerly Town Manager Steven Hartford will face the inquiries of the Councilors and then one will be selected to fill the position on a temporary basis.

He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
