Meet George

Posted

George is a domestic short haired white tiger neutered male. He was picked up as a stray on Washington Street in Warren about 5 months ago. When brought in he was wearing a blue faded and frayed collar with two bells on it. George waited at the shelter for his family to come looking for him, but no one came. He is a very good cat who loves the attention he is given, and he gets along well with other cats. We do not know if he gets along with dogs, but if you are interested in him and have a dog we can check it out. He is up to date on all his shots. If interested stop by the Warren animal shelter at 80 Wood Street in Warren, or call 401/245-4569.  George would make a great addition to any family. Please help us find George his new forever home.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
