McCarthy: Bristol voters, Stop, look and listen

Posted

My fellow Bristolians, for most of us with years of automobile driving experience, this is a warning we all heed at railroad crossings. To ignore it, could be perilous!

Maybe this same warning, “STOP, LOOK and LISTEN,” should be displayed at all voting precincts this upcoming election, in November. Voters may want to STOP, and make sure they are well informed on the candidates who are asking for their vote. Have I taken the time to know what these candidates represent?

Voters may also want to LOOK, and be sure they have reviewed the experience, education, accomplishments and qualifications of the candidates.

And finally, to LISTEN, to each candidate explain their position on the issues that are most important to you.

As a citizen, it’s a solemn privilege to exercise our right to vote. Take it seriously; many have fought for the freedom to do so.

Patrick “Pat” McCarthy

Mr. McCarthy is a Republican running for Bristol Town Council.
