Mary M. Remieres, 86, Bristol

Mary M. (Nunes) Remieres, 86, of Bristol passed away on July 7. Born in Providence, she was the wife of the late Thomas W.  Remieres Jr. and daughter of the late Mary Rego Quimby, Frank Nunes and the stepdaughter of Henry A Quimby.

She was the loving mother of Susan Donovan (Glenn), Sally DeGalley and Sharon Breighner; grandmother of Glenn, Colleen and Cara Donovan, Alexander and Bianca DeGalley and Allison and Jack Breighner; great grandmother of Ellie, Liam and Grace Donovan.

Before retirement she was employed by the Bristol Public Schools as a teacher assistant. She also worked at the former Industrial National Bank in Bristol.

Ms. Remieres was a former member of the Bristol Junior Women's Club, the St. Mary's Women's Guild and a classroom volunteer in the Bristol elementary schools.

Funeral Services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, Saturday, July 12, at 10 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 330 Wood St., Bristol.

Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Hope Street, Bristol. Visiting hours are Saturday morning 8-10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave. 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
