Mary C. Ferias, 85, Warren

Mary C. (Charette) Ferias, 85, of Warren passed away  on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012.  She was the wife of the late Arthur “Smokey” Ferias Sr.

Born in Warren, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Alice (Lynch) Charette. She worked for the U.S. Rubber Co. in Bristol and also for S.E. Raines. Later, she was co-owner, along with her husband, of Art’s Floor Covering in Warren.  She was also a volunteer secretary and treasurer of the Warren Pop Warner Football League and was an avid reader and Red Sox fan.

Mrs. Ferias was the mother of Kevin Ferias and Kathleen Canario, both of Warren, Terri Boccella of Richboro, Pa. and the late Arthur Ferias Jr. and Tina Marie Ferias; the grandmother of Amy, Jason, Kaitlyn, Kristina, Carly and Eric; and great-grandmother of Jameson.  he was the sister of the late Alfred, Oscar Jr. and Leo Charette, Yvonne Serpa, Mary Charette, Anna “Dolly” Sellan, Doris Braz, Viola Almeida, Leona Feeley, Alice Walker and Olga Palamar.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 6, from the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main St., with a Mass of Christian burial in St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main St.  Burial followed in St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.  See www.wilbur-romano.com.
