Marvin D. Perry, 88, of Bristol

Marvin D. Perry, age 88, of Bristol, died April 19, 2018, at Newport Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Phyllis (Sanford) Perry. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Anthony Perry and Amelia (Rebello) Perry.

He worked as a director for the State of Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training for many years.

In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by his children: John Perry of North Providence, Christopher Perry of Bristol, and Marilyn Tipton of Bristol; his grandchildren, Fred Cabral, Anthony Cabral, Allison Perry, and Christopher Perry; and a great-granddaughter, Brigit Cabral. He leaves his brother, Anthony Perry, of Bristol.

His funeral will begin on Tuesday, April 24, at 9 a.m. from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, R.I. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Church, N. Carpenter Street, East Providence. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery in Pawtucket.

Calling hours will be on Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the RI Food Bank.
