Margaret F. Caron, 90, formerly of Tiverton


Margaret F. (Perry) Caron, 87, of Wareham, formerly of Tiverton, passed away on Wednesday March 13, 2013, at the Forest View Nursing Center in Wareham. She was the wife of the late Cyprien J. Caron.

Margaret was born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Silvia) Perry. Margaret was active during World War II with the Women’s Auxiliary. She then began working in the garment industry in Fall River. Mrs. Caron then became a licensed hairdresser and worked at Penny’s Beauty Salon in Fall River for over 20 years before retiring several years ago.

She was active in the Little Theatre of Fall River. Mrs. Caron participated in the Rhode Island Miss Senior Sweetheart Pageant for many years. She was an avid bowler and dancer.

Survivors are a daughter, Robin M. Caron of Acushnet, Mass.; and two grandchildren, Shane and Kimberly. She was the mother of the late Wendy Zacamy and sister of the late Florence Mercier.

Calling hours for Margaret will be held Monday from 10 a.m. to noon with a funeral service beginning at noon in the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson Street., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.  To light a memorial candle, sign guest book, go to or call 508 673-0781.
