Manuel Leonardo Ribeiro, 59, of Hope Street passed away on March 13th.  He was the husband of Maria L. (Pereira) Ribeiro. Born in Capelo, Faial, he was the son of Maria (Rodrigues) Ribeiro and the late Gabriel Silva Ribeiro; brother of Jose Ribeiro and uncle of Natasha Thompson.

He was a graduate of Bristol High School and the head of security at Moses Brown School where he worked for 22 years. His funeral services were held March 18th from the George Lima Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Manuel Pereira at St. Elizabeth Church.  Liturgical readings were by Natasha Thompson who also read the Prayer of the Faithful. The offertory gifts were presented by Maria Ribeiro and Natasha Thompson. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Elisio Castro, Edward Amaral, Joe Perry, Kevin Perry, Keith Perry and Peter Arpin.
