Man struck by car in Warren


A Warren man was injured after being struck by a car on Main Street just before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16.

Robert Bento, 72, 0f 772 Main St., was struck near his home at about 8:26 p.m. by a car being driven south by Kim Guthas, 51, of Dahlonega, Ga. Police are investigating the accident, and Lt. Roland Brule did not say whether Ms. Guthas has been charged. Mr. Bento was transported to Rhode Island Hospital by Warren rescue crews; no word on the severity of his injuries.
