A Warren man has been charged with hitting a Cranston police officer with his car early Saturday morning.

Ralph Delullo, 27, of 20 Hanley Farm Road, was charged with felony assault with a dangerous weapon after Cranston police said he struck an officer working a detail at the Mardi Gras Multi Club. The officer was allegedly thrown over the hood of Mr. Delullo’s car after he approached the Mr. Delullo, who he had seen walk toward the car on his way out of the club.

The officer was not injured in the accident; Warwick police pulled Mr. Delullo over a short time later in that city.
