Lucy Saulnier, 92, Warren

Lucy (Pacheco) Saulnier, 92, of Warren, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Crestwood Nursing Home.
Born in Warren, a daughter of the late Joseph and Ida (Peters) Pacheco, she was a lifelong Warren resident.
Mrs. Saulnier worked in the textile industry until her retirement in 1980.
She leaves a daughter, Donna Barboza of Warren; a son, Robert Saulnier of Providence; two grandchildren, Gina Miller and her husband William, and Brian Barboza and his wife Melissa,; three great-grandchildren, Stefan and Reagan Miller and Cole Barboza; and many nieces and nephews.
Private arrangements are in the care of Smith Funeral and Memorial Services in Warren.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
