Lucien G. Lebreux, 89, of Tiverton passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at home, with his loving family by his side overlooking his farm. Born in Tiverton, son of the late Albert and Bertha (Turcotte) Lebreux, he was a lifelong resident of Tiverton.

Lucien G. Lebreux, 89, of Tiverton

Lucien G. Lebreux, 89, of Tiverton passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at home, with his loving family by his side overlooking his farm. Born in Tiverton, son of the late Albert and Bertha (Turcotte) Lebreux, he was a lifelong resident of Tiverton.

Mr. Lebreux was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School.  A veteran of the Korean War, he served his country in the United States Army, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal.

He was the owner/operator of Middle Acres Dairy Farm in Tiverton, where he also grew cranberries.  Lucien loved his greenhouses, gardening and growing vegetables. An award winning livestock farmer, he took great pride in his Holstein Cows, was awarded the Progressive Breeders Registry Award and the 2017 Agriculturist of the Year Award.

Survivors include a brother: Roland A. Lebreux, Sr. and his wife Louise of Tiverton; a sister: Anita Lebreux of Westport; his niece: Jamie Lebreux; and 7 nephews: Roland Lebreux,  II of Tiverton, Paul Lebreux of Tiverton, Richard Lebreux of Westport, Donald Lebreux of Bristol, Roger David Lebreux of Little Compton, Normand Lebreux of Tiverton and Dana Lebreux of Tiverton.

He was brother of the late Roger P. Lebreux and his wife Shirley.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday July 23, 2018 at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Rd., Westport at 11 AM.

Calling hours Sunday 2 - 5 PM.

Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
